* AVIATION: US defence major Boeing has offered to set up a manufacturing facility in India for production of its F/A 18 Super Hornet aircraft, if the company gets contracts for their supply.

* AUTOMOBILES: Renault to introduce its new premium SUV, the Captur, in Diwali.

* BANKING: Lenders to Jindal India Thermal Power look to bring in a strategic or financial advisor to take over 51% stake in the company, according to tender documents on SBI Capital Markets' website.

* COMMODITY: Bullion and jewellery dealers with an annual turnover of above 20 mln rupees will come under the ambit of the anti-money laundering law and will be regulated by Director General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence.

* MINING: The Supreme Court has rejected a plea filed by the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries to stop e-auction of iron ore mined in Karnataka.

* INFRASTRUCTURE: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority's executive committee has appointed general consultants for the Mumbai Metro Rail's planned Line-IV.

* OIL & GAS: Indian energy firms are exploring investment opportunity in Israel's offshore gas fields as well as possibilities of importing some of their advanced technologies.

* POWER: Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal said India has entered into a pact with Germany to improve parameters for grid integration of renewable energies. Power generators stayed away from bidding for Gujarat government's tender to acquire 1,000 MW of cheap electricity by selling coal at lower rates after the government allowed flexibility in utilisation of domestic coal amongst power generating stations.
