* AUTOMOBILE: Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched a limited edition of Etios Cross with price starting at 664,000 rupees. Nissan India has launched its pre-owned car business-Nissan Intelligent Choice in India. MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA, TATA MOTORS and Japanese carmaker Nissan have bid for India's first electric car tender of 10,000 vehicles.

* AVIATION: The civil aviation ministry has acceded to a request from some airlines that will allow
them to ply bigger aircraft for UDAN flights.

* ECONOMY: State-owned companies have committed to spend an additional 250 bln rupees on capital expenditure in the current financial year.

* INSURANCE: Cigna TTK Health Insurance has got Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India's approval to raise Cigna Corp's stake in the joint venture to 49% from 26%.
